About

Like many people who embark on this journey, Cesar first got the “acting bug” in high school thanks to the kind and wonderful inspiration of his drama and English teacher, Marsha Brody.

After graduating High School, Cesar enrolled as a theater major at Chicago’s Columbia College. There, he took his first improv class late Martin De Maat, a wonderful and kind person that helped set the wheels in motion for his new-found passion in life.

Marty introduced Cesar to the Second City Theater and encouraged him to take classes there. Cesar followed his teacher’s advice and has been on a wonderful journey ever since that includes having the chance to perform with The Second City (Chicago and L.A.), The Playground Theater, The Nobel Fool Theater, The UCB Theater (L.A.), and with the world renowned iO Theater, formerly known as “The ImprovOlympic (Chicago and Los Angeles).

At iO, he had the honor of studying under legendary improv teacher and ‘guru’, the late Del Close. Del directed and mentored Cesar and eventually changed the way he viewed the art of Improvisation.

Along with teaching improvisation for the stage, Cesar also teaches corporate training programs  around the country with ‘Business Improvisations‘, a company that creates corporate training programs and executive education programs for a growing list of top business schools in the US and abroad, including many Fortune 500 companies.

Cesar can currently be seen regularly on the NBC drama series, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D.

He is represented by The Paonessa Talent Agency.
